SA1 Swansea is a multi phase development situated in the old derelict docks immediately adjacent to the city centre. Townshend Landscape Architects were involved in the masterplanning of the site and the delivery of the first phase site roads which included an entrance square and planting. The materials palette selected for SA1 contained a robust set of hard elements that both suited the project budget and the nature of the project. The soft materials chosen bring real colour and year round appeal to the site, the species in each area combine to provide an evergreen blanket which compliments and enhances the buildings within the SA1 development.
