ELIZABETH HOUSE

Elizabeth House is the redevelopment of an existing building adjacent to Waterloo Station on the South Bank of the Thames. The scheme will comprise of two office buildings, a residential building, retail units and significant improvements to the public realm creating new areas of open space and enhancement of the square in front of Victory Arch. As a unifying component, these areas have been conceived as a contemporary place set within a carpet of paving in which carefully arranged elements of natural stone benches, semi-mature trees, planting and kiosks combine to create a stimulating design composition. Improved pedestrian connections across York Road have been developed through the application of shared space principles.
