Rachel is a qualified landscape architect who joined in 2006. Her key projects have been the roof terraces and public space for Watermark Place; and the design of a public garden and piazza along Angel Lane for the City of London. Other notable projects include the public realm design for 62 Buckingham Gate a prestigious office development along Victoria Street. Rachel has a keen interest in ecology and sustainable approaches to landscape design.

Andrea's background is in Fine Arts from the University of Valencia, Spain. She is currently part of the King's Cross team, developing the southern infrastructure detail design and concept and detailed design for Pancras Square, Station Square and Wharf Road. In addition Andrea has been involved in organising community gardens, and also lectures at the Complutense University of Madrid on Landscape Architecture, Conservation and Heritage.

Victoria Williams-ellis

Victoria joined the practice at its inception after working in both London and the United States, specialising in historic landscape restoration and urban regeneration. She has been instrumental in the progress and successful implementation of many schemes at all stages of development. These include Brindleyplace, Thames Valley Park, Stockley Park and Khan Younis Hospital for UNRWA in the Gaza Strip. Victoria is currently involved in business development, marketing and communications.

Gary has worked on several high profile urban regeneration schemes and has been responsible for leading a team for the Market Square design at the University of Cambridge's North-West Cambridge Development. In addition he is working on the designs for the Jersey International Finance Centre and Marischal Square in Aberdeen, which when built will create a new civic square in front of Marischal College. Gary has also worked on the new park for the Crystal in London.

Oliver's experience at Townshend Landscape Architects has covered a variety of projects, including working from initial conceptual design to developing planning submissions and construction detail. He has worked on the public realm master plan for a large mixed use development for Westfield London Development which received outline planning consent in 2012. Oliver has also been working on the North West Cambridge Development and is currently working on the Canada Water Masterplan.

Ade has been involved on a variety of projects ranging from the design of small public urban spaces to large urban regeneration and education schemes. These include MoreLondon Phase 3, Battersea Reach Phases 2-5, and a number of academy school projects such as the Thomas Deacon Academy. Ade is a qualified Town Planner, Urban Designer and Landscape Architect who uses the range of his experience in seeing his projects through to completion.

Farida joined Townshends in 2004 as Robert's assistant and the Office Manager. She now divides her time between using her technical and aesthetic skills in the finance and marketing department and her personal skills assisting Robert on a day to day basis.

Carola became chartered as a landscape architect in 2011 after qualifying as an architect in Spain. She has worked on a variety of projects; notably the public realm design for Corvin Promenade, Budapest, the Al Bahr Towers in the UAE, Canary Wharf schemes and the residential East Village in London. Carola's keen interest in culture and enthusiasm for what influences and makes successful spaces around the world is at the heart of her concept designs.

Martha plays a leading role on a number of urban regeneration projects. Following the masterplan design and associated planning applications for King's Cross she has the responsibility for overseeing all the King's Cross projects. Other notable projects include the public realm master plans for Royal Wharf and Woodberry. Martha is central to management organisation within the practice.

Ruth Harrison is an Associate at the practice. Since joining in 2004 she has had a lead role in preparing and developing a number of landscape and public realm schemes in London, the UK and Channel Islands. Ruth also has responsibility for managing project appointments, updating specifications, technical dossiers including Health and Safety, and dealing with contract administration for individual projects as well as for the practice itself.

Robert founded the practice in 1988. He has gained considerable experience in landscape architecture, urban design and environmental analysis through his input on a wide and fascinating range of projects. Robert is dedicated to understanding how people use and enjoy their environment, in turn influencing the creation of sustainable places for our future.
