TLA wins Collin Street Nottingham Competition

TLA in collaboration with Leonard Design Architects have won a competition in Nottingham to design and re-model the area around Collin Street to create a new linear park.

Under the city council proposals, Collin Street, a busy link street will be pedestrianised and new green spaces will be created alongside the planned redevelopment and regeneration of Intu's Broadmarsh shopping centre, the car park and bus station. The council's aspiration is that the run down gateway will be transformed to improve the pedestrian connections from the station through to the city centre.

Councillor Nick McDonald, portfolio holder for business, growth and transport at the city council, said: "The Broadmarsh area development is vital for Nottingham".
"It is a once in a generation opportunity to transform our city centre. We were pleased with the proposals from Leonard's, and in particular their partnership with Townshend whose work you can see whenever you go to the new King's Cross train station."
"We believe that together we are putting in place a blueprint that people will find very exciting. Importantly, the plans are a really positive fit with the redevelopment proposals for intu Broadmarsh and surrounding area, and will help make this a great destination and extension of the city centre."
